Los Angeles Air Raid of 1942
by Mike on Mar.09, 2009, under Current Productions
The film crew was invited down to Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, CA for an awesome reenactment of the historic (and controversial) Air Raid that took place over LA on February 24, 1942. Was it a Japanese plane, a weather balloon, or even an UFO? The truth will probably never be known, but it was great nostalgic fun to be able to participate in this annual event. As you can see, there were a lot of folks dressed in character and the military gear was as authentic as you can get.
(Special thanks to Joe Janesic, Board of Directors of the Fort MacArthur Museum, for allowing our crew to film that day).

Wow…I’ve never seen this kind of quality video before! Excellent editing. Who needs a big studio production when these guys can do the same work??

May I add this to the Air Raid Webpage?
All the best,
