On the backlot of Paramount Studios in Hollywood with the Boulos Studios crew

The film crew was invited down to Fort MacArthur in San Pedro, CA for an awesome reenactment of the historic (and controversial) Air Raid that took place over LA on February 24, 1942. Was it a Japanese plane, a weather balloon, or even an UFO? The truth will probably never be known, but it was great nostalgic fun to be able to participate in this annual event. As you can see, there were a lot of folks dressed in character and the military gear was as authentic as you can get.

Here are a couple of behind the scenes shots aboard the USS Lane Victory in San Pedro, CA while we were shooting a number of scenes for a project we are working on for the Rotary Club.  Many thanks for Marty Dodell who was kind enough to allow us to shoot aboard that amazing ship.  If you are ever in San Pedro, I would highly recommend visiting this great attraction.  Oh and by the way, if the ship looks familiar its because its been used in many motion picture and television productions.

Well, it’s official.  With this first blog entry we kick off the Boulos Studios Blog.   As some of you know, Boulos Studios was created to bring together an eclectic production team who have a love and passion for filmmaking and a keen interest in creating content that speaks not only to our commercial interest but artistic as well.

This blog is in response to our clients as well as prospects who have asked from time to time to see the behind the scenes aspects of Boulos Studios.  In addition, we will also be showing clips of our projects (per our client’s permission) and “talking shop” about the latest trends in equipment, technology as well as the general media business environment.  Stay tuned and we look forward to sharing with you our work!
